IMPRESSIVE’s full-scale pilot in Gran Canary Islands
We are very excited about the successful execution of the IMPRESSIVE full-scale pilot in La Luz in Gran Canary Islands.
The purpose of the pilot has been to validate the operation of the IMPRESSIVE system which is based on a combination of drone, autonomous marine surface vehicle (ASV), various technologies for earth observation, robotics and advanced mathematical hydrodynamic models, which are all coupled in an integrated, universal and replicable system, based on CMEMS products (Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service), which allows real-time management and forecasting of marine pollution events (oil spills, waste waters) in EU ports and their vicinity.
