Video of the ASV and hyperspectral drone integration test campaign for the WP4 IMPRESSIVE project
We are very excited about the first results that were carried out by Elittoral and ULPGC in the first joint and coordinated sea trials in Gran Canaria of the European project H2020 “IMPRESSIVE: Integrated Marine Pollution Risk assessment and Emergency management Support Service In ports and coastal enVironments”.
The purpose of these first sea trials has been to check the operation of two of the monitoring systems, based on a drone and an autonomous marine surface vehicle (ASV), which are being developed by these two partners in the framework of the project.
The ultimate goal of IMPRESSIVE is the combination of various technologies for earth observation, robotics and advanced mathematical models, for the development of an integrated, universal and replicable system, based on CMEMS products (Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service, http: //marine.copernicus.eu/), which allows real-time management of marine pollution events in the ports of the European Union and their areas of influence.
